The brief introduction of Sant /Sadhu:-

*Purity of character.

*Diligent/rigorous practice of 5 naam till enlightenment/yog sound of God

*Disseminate/describe clearly the path of spirituality towards God with nothing missing

*Imposing strictly ethics and avoidances of Santmat upon disciples

*Earns his livelihood by his own resources [service, patrimonial, self employ etc]

*Compassion /Daya/virtuous/love for all.

According to guru granth sahib:-

“NAAM  REHEO  SADHU  REHEO , REHEO  GURU  GOBIND

KEH  NANAK  IS  JAGAT  ME  KIN  JAPIO  HAR  MANT”

In this divine traditional connection, all time in all epoch/yug the Guru/Sant came here to teach human being the spiritual path to union with God.  In Satyug the name of God was Satshukart, in Treta yug the name of God was Karnamyaji , in Duaaper yug the name of God was Muniderji, and in Kalyug the name of God is  Kabir sahib,these names given by God Himself in the starting of every yug ,after then saints/sadhus/Gurus came in all yugs continuously such as:- Ravidas ji ,Dhani dharam  dass, Paltoo sahib , Darya sahib, Tulsi sahib, Dadu ji,  Nam dev ji ,Sehjo bai, Meera bai, Shah Shamas tavrej , Maulana Room Sahib , and so on …….then 10 guru’s of Sikhism guru Nanak dev ji, to  guru Gobind singh ji,  after guru Gobind Singh Ji the power of Word [shabad dun] was undisclosed.

With in this period, with the Blessings of Satpurush/ God, Parmsant TULSI SAHIB manifested in Hathras UP [India] in 1763 [in desi month of ASSU] to disclose the power of Word/Shabad Dhun, and initiated Santmat and started preaching the true spiritual path towards union with God, “Dil ka huzra saaf kar jana ke aane ke liye, dhyan gaeron ka utha us ke bithana ke liye”

This starts from between above the eyes is the path of Santmat directly union with God, and below the eyes is the attention for aliens, and the alien mislead the way /antagonist of God. Alien is the Mind/Mann in the human body which plunge into Kaal chakker/karma, eludes the soul towards, heaven, to hell, to undergo transmigration in the universe.

Caution!! Beware of these five typical tools of Mann [mind]

Kaam, krodh, lobh, moh, and ahankar, [lust, anger, greed, affection, arrogance (illusion), etc...]These five are weapons of mind [Mann]. Mind gets power from soul, by exploiting, plundering with these weapons. Mind attenuates the soul by alluring one’s senses. Mind is a prime agent of Kaal Bhagwan in our body. Kaal Bhagwan is the owner of this world of births and deaths i.e. Maatlok, because!  He can’t produce the soul at his own he earned the souls from Satpurush by rigorous meditation for 64 yug [epoc] standing on one leg. That’s why it is His utmost attempt to keep the soul dwell in His own realm/reign and not to let her out for merge in Satpurush, merger is possible only by continuous Simran of 5 naam and listening of Shabad Dun got from perfect teacher [poora guru]. The path of Santmat, which directly approach to Sachkhand, is based on 100% purity of soul, but these five tools supported by Kaal Bhagwan blocks the path of soul by enacting the unethical acts which  impurifies the soul  through these tools, which all time one of each is always alive in one’s body, mind [pind,und]. It is felt in day to day real life that intuition of any one from these five always strikes insight and affects our consciousness leads to deteriorate one’s senses, resulting hurdle in spiritual progress.

Under the effect of:-

Kaam –one’s conscious come downwards to lustful [indri chakkar] while the intention of Naam is upwards, above the eyes.    

Krodh –one’s conscious spreads with anger/malice towards others and give vent to anger, get entangled and go far behind from God.

Lobh – one’s conscious greed’s to usurp/grab the materialistic wealth by hook or crook, gets malediction tagged perfidiousness, skulduggery against the ethics of honesty, hence can’t   remember God.

Moh – one’s conscious sticks to such affection with offspring, relatives, wealth to forget all the ethics even remembrance of God.

Ahankar – one’s conscious feel so arrogant that only I am in this world is superior nothing else is like Me, all what I have in this world have got by my own attempts. Its one’s illusion. Hence Houme keeps away from God, should be avoided.

These are all downtrodden effects, in the path of soul’s spiritual progress; hence it should be highly disregarded. One should adopt the way in between above the eyes with feeling that my beloved Guru is present near the right eye’s corner, continue the sumiran of 5 Naam with one’s conscious, and forget the  Pind, to be engrossed in the ocean of nectar, light and sound of Omnipotent God. These are the teachings of a perfect teacher [poora guru] so this the Santmat, taught by Saint’s, who came here in maatlok with absolute power blessed by Satpurush. Sant came in every yug, with different time frame to perform the consigned duties from God.                   P-3..

Santmat has certain ethics and avoidances, which are the must for followers/suitors of Santmat ,for the contentment, and spiritual progress of soul, to be absorbed with God.

Vegetarianism is the very first ethic to adopt, it is saying that[ jaisa khaie ann taisa hoe mann]

To eat the flesh of animals turns the sagacity of brain like animals. [As animals can’t remember, invoke, mediate upon God] the person who eat meat can’t mediate upon.

So this is the first big hurdle in remembrance of God, one who is non veg. can’t do sumiran, bhakti of God, and without simran of 5 Naam, which is got from poora Guru  [ the perfect teacher, sant ] one can’t attain purity of soul for union with Satpurush. [kabir sahib says;- kaam krodh madh lobh visaro madh maas mithia taz daro ] Veg. also integrate the Ahinsa, it can never be justified to assassinate any other creature for one’s own food. If anyone do so that is liable for punishment, there is no man made courts for judgement, God is only judge who justify well and punishes suitably.

Purity of character, is a must on the path of Santmat which leads to Sachkhand [Dargah] [Kabir sahib says;-per nari ke rachne sidha hi narke jae tin ko jam chhode nahi le jasi pat guwae ] means in close proximity of male/female with other women/men drives a person towards hell, which is inevitable after intimacy with others. Husband/wife is only exception in Santmat that is only even for offspring/next gen., all others are like brothers /sisters of equal age, and all other are like father/mother of above one’s age. High thinking simple living, being honest in social life, believable trustworthy to God, should be the ethics of a person who love God and desirous of spiritual progress.

Drinking of wine, whisky, alcohol, madhira /madh, intoxicants should be avoided. It deteriorates the health and maligns the senses of brain and mind; takes a person out of senses, one can do every kind of sin, impiety, evil under its [wine’s] dominance. It is a drink for devils not for deities and human being. One has to be purest to union with God.

Telling a lie, is also impurity for mind and wisdom, lie deviates one from target to achieve purity of soul which a must for meditation, hence it should be avoided.

To usurp/grab others depository, to deny one’s right forcibly, treat unjustly, deception, deceit, dissimulation, fraud, is hurdle in the path of  spirituality progress to attain

Peace,[ khush khush laenda hai vastu prayi,dekhe sune tere naal khudai ….Adi granth sahib ]  snatching other’s wealth/article God watch your every moment/act, He will punish, hence it should also be avoided from irrespectable act.

Censure, is the greatest sin, evil, peccancy, immoral crime which is out of regards for self respect, has no taste. It hurts the heart, It creates contradiction, confusion, hatred, malice in the minds of one another who is be victimised. So avoid this tasteless, immoral, no forgivable, offence.                                                                                P-2

Before I proceed ahead, I am in firm opinion that all the true saints, [who approached Sachkhand with their Guru’s blessing, by rigorous meditation and practice] are equal and are merged live and be one with the ‘SATPURUSH’ the Omni potent God. The path, of all the saints to approach the God is equal, the teachings are equal, intend of all is to listen the inner word’s sound [shabad dun] which is Anhad/ limitless, loveable, pleasing, attractive, desirable, beautiful sound of God and that is called ‘SANT MAT ‘which was initiated by Parmsant  Hazur Tulsi Sahib Ji of Hathras in Utter Pradesh  India in 19^th century. Hence we should respect all the Saints equally, who attained, revealed and permanently attached with absolute powerful God. Sant never form any sect, it always been formed and promoted by their followers, later on.
